Analysis of Leo Tolstoy’s Stories By Nasrullah Mambrol on Novem • (0). Leo Tolstoy’s (9 September – 20 November ) ego embraces the world, so that he is always at the center of his fictive creation, filling his books with his struggles, personae, problems, questions, and quests for answers, and above all with his notion of life as an ethical search as strenuous as. Not a SINGLE book has been added since the list stopped being a featured one. ETA: I just removed another batch of 20 additions that had nothing whatsoever to do with Tolstoy, and everthing with an attempt to draw attention to certain books plonked onto this list solely because it's a featured one.
A Russian publisher had asked 2, professors, scholars, artists, and men of letters, public figures, and other luminaries to name the books important to them, and Tolstoy responded with this list divided into five ages of man, with their actual degree of influence ("enormous," "v. great," or merely "great") noted. But it was Tolstoy who brought me into the rich relationship religion of life with Jesus Christ. So this book is a real treasure, alongside The Gospel in Dostoevsky. A treasure, I hasten to add, that's not to be missed. Pastors, particularly, would do well to have both books on their shelves, and revisit these works again and again.
I will try to add more short stories for students and avid readers about courage, bravery, or heroism that could be helpful for teaching reading and reading comprehension to middle and high school students. Eventually, I hope these pages will become a teaching resource. Leo Tolstoy -- the complete book list in order (93 books).
